This July, you can take a Sunday drive and help needy horses at the same time. Spirit's Promise in Riverhead will be offering socially distanced tours every Saturday and Sunday to raise funds for equine rescue efforts--hit hard financially by the pandemic--on Long Island. Proceeds from the drive-through experience will be used to provide care and food for abused, neglected and unwanted horses.
Participants follow a digital map on their smartphones, which will also showcase family-friendly photos and fun facts about each animal (goat, cow, pig, mini horse, duck, and chicken ambassadors will be on hand!). Online reservations are required, a face mask must be worn at all times, and time slots are limited. Want to go?
